Yes, that's the whole point of the engineering. Patents pending specifically cover the safe backlighting and display of vinyl: low-heat LEDs with a large air gap to the face, a non-reactive plexiglass face that barely conducts heat, and a rear-mounted nub that can't fall off with a record on it. A 3mm rise keeps the B-side off the face entirely while gravity holds the record perfectly vertical, with no warping and no scratches.
